Disappointed In Zippered Padfolio
"I purchased the brown zippered padfolio from the website in June. Initially I was thrilled to see the quality of the leather and workmanship. Then my excitement ended. I was disappointed to find the label in all caps on the front cover. Before I purchased the item I looked at marketing photos and didn't see the label on the front. In photos I could clearly see that the logo was large and prominent on the inside cover but thought that I would be getting my monogram on the lower right like most high end pads. I was ok with that. A logo on the front cover makes an expensive premium leader pad look very cheap. I contacted the company to discuss my disappointment. They claimed that other customers have complained that "their label on the front isn't large enough". Baffling. I told the rep that when I go into meetings it looks like I borrowed the pad from a man. They said that I should have seen a photo of the front cover in their marketing. I didn't and I don't believe that other customers would. Check out the photos in the marketing and see what you think. I wanted to purchase from a small U.S based company. I saw some of their quality products at other small retailers and used my cell phone to make the purchase. I guess I shouldn't have been so eager to trust this company for my first purchase with them. I have found another option with a different company that is elegant, premium and does not have the logo on the front. A service rep did respond to me but dismissed my feedback claiming they've been doing things for a long time this way; no offer to take a look at the photos to try to see my point of view. If the label weren't on the front cover and I would have received a better customer service response my rating would have been four or five stars, not two."

"I bought one for my husband as a Valentines gift and after it came, we were both so impressed I bought one just for myself. It is outstanding. Very well made, zipper works smoothly, leather is clean, the whole thing is very classy, and I love that it really can work for a man or a woman. I honestly even love the writing pad they chose for it, not only for the fit but the paper is off-white and very pleasing to the eye. The whole thing is very impressive, and I feel great taking it to meetings. The only thing I would change/add would be an option for a different font for the monogramming. But it is such a fantastic touch, it's still a great addition to the product. And definitely reason to keep coming back as a loyal customer to JG."
