It is a perfect mid-size bag with many options. It is good quality and very versatile. It has various pockets, compartments and sleeves in the two large internal sections, including a padded computer section. A tall internal zipper net compartment makes it easy to see what's in there so that you don't end up having to dig, arm deep, into a compartment you can't see into. On the outside there is a front zippered part and on the sides small compartments for small items. They look like where you would put a water bottle but are not big enough for that. They are useful none-the-less--there is always something you want close at hand or want to shove in at the last minute--keys, gum, energy bar, etc. The zippers for the two main compartments come from both sides and have a loop so that you can lock your zippers together if you are so inclined. I have become increasingly weight conscious of my bags, and even though this is leather, it is not heavy like you would think.
My favorite thing about this bag is how I can use it as a backpack or wear it cross body or hanging off one shoulder, and there is even a handle on the top. These features make it so useful and versatile.
Two years ago I had never heard of Jack Georges, and now I have several of their products!
The side drink pockets don’t really work well for drinks, but have been nevertheless surprisingly useful for small grab and go items — money clip, sunglasses, phone & keys through airport security — that sort of thing.
Main storage isn’t overly huge, but the size is enough for essentials and keeps the overall profile of the bag clean.
Computer compartment is big enough for my 13 inch MacBook Pro, which I keep in a honkin’ BIG protective case. All but the largest computers shoul fit easily.
What I really love about this bag is easy conversion from cross body bag to backpack. In cross body, it doesn’t look ridiculously like a man purse and adjusts easily to my preferred length. Also, the top handle is sturdy and very convenient.
I DO wish this bag came with the shoulder pad and the luggage tag, which you have to buy separately, but otherwise no complaints after three months and three continents. Pro tip: the bag doesn’t come with a band or an attachment for your rolling suitcase, but the backpack conversion rings are perfectly placed so that two carabiners do the job (and it looks kinda cool).
